2012

JANUARY

  • 16 (Mon) Martin Luther King Day. Library and all offices closed. Residence halls open at noon; dining services open with dinner. 
  • 17 (Tue) New student orientation and registration; Proficiency/placement exams and auditions. 
  • 18 (Wed) First day of spring semester classes. Drop/Add begins. Box office opens. 
  • 25 (Wed) Last day of Drop/Add. Withdrawal period begins. (Last day to drop a class without financial implications.)

FEBRUARY

  • 20 (Mon) President’s Day; classes as usual. Offices and library open. 
  • 24 (Fri) No classes except for applied lessons at the discretion of the instructor.

MARCH

  • 5 (Mon) Faculty issue midterm warnings to students. 
  • 10 –18 Spring Recess. Residence halls remain open. 
  • 19 (Mon) Classes resume after Spring Recess. Advising and pre-registration period for fall 2012 begins.  
  • 30 (Fri) Last day to withdraw from a class with a “W” grade.  (No changes to class schedule after this date.)   

APRIL

  • 6 (Fri) Advising and pre-registration period for Fall 2012 ends. 
  • 16 (Mon) Patriot’s Day. No classes except for applied lessons at the discretion of the instructor. Library and all offices closed. 
  • 18 (Wed) Monday Class Schedule.
  • 27 (Fri) Last day of spring semester classes.
  • 28 (Sat) Examinations and juries begin. 

MAY

  • 1–4 Examinations and juries continue.  
  • 4 (Fri) Dining services close after dinner. 
  • 5 (Sat) Residence halls close at noon. Graduating seniors may remain in residence halls until noon on Saturday, May 12. 
  • 12 (Sat) Commencement
