Home/ Ann BoboAnn Bobo has been freelancing in the Boston area for many years, performing as a member of the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Boston Musica Viva, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra and the Springfield Symphony. She also frequently performs with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and has toured throughout the U.S., Canada, Japan and Korea with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. Other engagements include the St. Louis Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Boston Lyric Opera (BLO), Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) and Opera Boston. Bobo has joined the Boston Symphony and Pops Orchestras during their summer season at Tanglewood and has twice been a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center.
Bobo received her B.M. with honors from New England Conservatory (NEC), where she studied with Fenwick Smith, and she is an avid chamber musician who has been a featured performer at the Carolina Chamber Music Festival. Bobo holds awards from the Coleman and Carmel Chamber Music Societies, as well as the Pappoutsakis Memorial Flute Competition. Bobo has recorded for RCA Victor, Arsis and New World Records, and is currently on faculty at The Boston Conservatory.
