Due to weather, The Boston Conservatory will CLOSE at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 5. During this time, all classes are canceled and all offices are closed. Performances and rehearsals scheduled for tonight will continue as planned, and practice rooms on campus will remain open and available to students. Updates will be posted to www.bostonconservatory.edu/alerts as available. Please note that Admissions auditions scheduled for February 6 and 7 will continue as planned.

Christine Borning

Music Education Faculty

Christine K. Borning earned a B.A. in music education and a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts, and a M.M. in music education from Boston University.

 

Borning is a former All-State clinician, district adjudicator, Southeastern district chairperson, member of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) and National Association for Music Education (MENC) Chairperson of Council of State Editors (2008). Borning was also a former instrumental and general music teacher for the Duxbury (Massachusetts), Avon (Massachusetts) and West Springfield (Massachusetts) school districts. She is currently an editor for Massachusetts Music News and is an instrumentalist and general music teacher for Bourne Middle School. Borning gives percussion performances throughout the New England area.
