Karen Kopryanski

Voice & Speech Faculty

Karen Kopryanski earned her B.A. from the State University of New York at Oswego and her M.F.A. from the American Repertory Theatre/Moscow Art Theatre Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. An associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voice Work®, Kopryanski has taught and coached at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Harvard Extension School, Suffolk University, Tufts University, Boston College, Brandeis University, Emmanuel College, Indiana University, the Moscow Art Theatre School and the Cantiere Internazionale Teatro Giovani in Forli, Italy.

As an actor, Kopryanski has studied with Patsy Rodenburg, SITI Company and the Old Trout Puppet Workshop, and she has performed with Shakespeare in Delaware Park, the Irish Classical Theatre (both in Buffalo, New York), and as part of the Shakespeare Theatre's Summer Intensive in Washington, DC. In 2010, she performed in a piece that won the Audience Award at the Boston Playwrights Platform. Kopryanski has toured with the internationally acclaimed Das Puppenspiel Puppet Theatre and is a member of Actor's Equity Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.
