Kevin Siegfried

Music Theory

Kevin Siegfried earned his B.A. from Antioch College and his M.A. in music theory/composition from The University of Iowa. He earned his D.M.A. in composition from the New England Conservatory (NEC). Siegfried has studied composition with Lee Hyla, Michael Gandolfi and Daniel Pinkham, and South Indian Vocal Music with Sriram Parasuram. He was a composition fellow at the European American Musical Alliance (Paris, France) and for the June in Buffalo Festival. He was also a teaching fellow at Harvard University, NEC and The University of Iowa.

Siegfried's performances credits include work with National Public Radio (NPR), Seattle Art Museum, National Choral Directors Association National and Regional Conferences, The Tudor Choir, Bella Voce, The Dale Warland Singers and Emmanuel Music. His recordings include Gentle Words: Shaker Songs arranged by Kevin Siegfried (The Tudor Choir, Loft Recordings) and Harvest Home (The Dale Warland Singers, Gothic Records). His music has been published by E.C. Schirmer, Earthsongs and Trinitas.
