Kyoko Hida-Battaglia

Oboe Faculty

Kyoko Hida-Battaglia was born in Japan and learned to play the piano at a very young age, and began playing the oboe when she was 17. She moved to Boston in 1991, and she is a regular player with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, New Haven Symphony, Colorado Music Festival and the Nashua Symphony. She has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO), Boston Pops and Boston Ballet.

Hida-Battaglia earned a B.M. from Tokyo College of Music and a M.M. from the New England Conservatory (NEC). She is currently serves as faculty at The Boston Conservatory, New England Conservatory Preparatory Division, Rivers School Conservatory and Brookline Music School.
