Magdalena Richter

Violin Faculty

Magdalena Richter earned a diploma from the Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland. She earned a M.M. from The Julliard School, where she received the Extraordinary Student Award, and completed additional academic studies at Boston University. Her primary teachers have included Dorothy Delay and Roman Totenberg.

Richter was the recipient of the Aspen Music School Fellowship and a special award from the International Competition for American Contemporary Music in New York City. She also earned first prize awards from the National Competitions in Poland and additional prizes in the International Wieniawski Competition and the International Young Violinists' Competition in Paris. Richter has appeared as a soloist with the Warsaw and Cracow Philharmonic, Boston Pops, Cape Ann Symphony, Nashua Philharmonic and Symphony by the Sea, and she has performed in chamber music recitals with Arthur Balsam, Ronald Feldman, Roman Totenberg and Judith Stillman. She is a current member of the New England String Quartet.
