Home/ Peyton PugmireBefore joining The Boston Conservatory's Theater Division, Pugmire served as the Producing Artistic Director of Watertown Children's Theater (WTC) from 2008-20122, after serving as Program Director for the two years prior. With WCT, he has had extensive board relations, budget management, program development, expertise in feasibility studies for new partnerships, grant/development experience, community outreach, marketing and communications, curriculum development and season selection.
He is currently the President of the Consortium of Boston Area Children's Theater, creating its first Children's Theater Festival for that organization. He is the founder/director of Divine Stage Works in Jamaica Plain, founded in 2005.
He is a gifted, director, producer, performer, and scenic designer, recognized by critics throughout Boston.
Now serving in a faculty/administrative position at The Boston Conservatory, Pugmire is instrumental in implementing new tracks of study stemming from the Program Review. He also oversees management of Zack Box Theater, a space that is constantly in use as a classroom and a theater throughout the year.
Pugmire earned his Masters in Theater Education from Emerson College, under the mentorship of the esteemed Robert Colby, and Melia Bensussen, now head of Acting at Emerson.
