Victoria LaRiccia

Victoria LaRiccia is a public school special education teacher for middle school students with various disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, emotional disabilities, communication disabilities, to name a few. For more than seven years, she has had the pleasure of teaching students on the Autism spectrum. Additionally, she is a consultant to The Boston Conservatory Program for Students on the Autism Spectrum. Ever year for this program before the start of the fall semester, LaRiccia trains incoming music instructors; thereafter, she works closely with them by observing lessons, collaborating, problem-solving and providing feedback and support.

As a child, LaRiccia taught herself to play the guitar. Years later, she found herself performing in two bands in Boston. In order to pursue a career as a special educator though, she relinquished her passion for the stage. She could not live happily without music in her life, so LaRiccia combined her love for music and teaching students on the Autism spectrum. As a result, she supported and taught blossoming musicians with Autism at her school. And as a result of that, she was asked to serve as a consultant for The Boston Conservatory Program for Students on the Autism Spectrum. This is her fourth year happily contributing to this groundbreaking, successful program.
