English Proficiency Requirements

At The Boston Conservatory, we believe that students must have adequate proficiency in English to fully benefit from the rigorous curriculum we offer. For this reason, we require non-native speakers of English to submit recent TOEFL or IELTS scores. The minimum scores required for admission are listed below. If you have attended an English-speaking secondary institution for at least two years, you may submit the SAT or ACT in lieu of the TOEFL or IELTS exam. All test scores must be received in The Boston Conservatory Admissions office by January 15.  The Boston Conservatory's score code for the TOEFL exam is 3084.  Information about the TOEFL and IELTS exams is available at www.toefl.org and www.ielts.org.

Please review The Boston Conservatory ESL Policy.
