Track week 4 starting Monday, March 9th, until Sunday March 15th!

Definitions to understand when filling out tracking this week (as defined by the World Health Organization, WHO and The American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM):

Intensity of physical activity:

Intensity refers to the rate at which the activity is being performed or the magnitude of the effort required to perform an activity or exercise. It can be thought of "How hard a person works to do the activity".

The intensity of different forms of physical activity varies between people. The intensity of physical activity depends on an individuals previous exercise experience and their relative level of fitness. Consequently, the examples given below are provided as a guide only and will vary between individuals.


Resistance Training:

Resistance Training is a form of physical activity that is designed to improve muscular fitness by exercising a muscle or muscle group external resistance (for example, lifting a dumbbell).

Flexibility Exercise:

To train flexibility, stretching or repeated movement through a joint’s complete range of motion will work to increase joint range or prevent loss of motion, respectively. To stretch a muscle, it should be put in a position that produces a slight pull on the muscle but not to the point of pain.
