The critically acclaimed Boston Conservatory Chamber Players showcase The Conservatory's artist faculty. Led by artistic director and pianist Michael Lewin, the Chamber Players have established a distinct reputation for innovative programming and electrifying performances. Committed to American music and living composers, each year the Chamber Players commission important new works, honor Presidents' Day with an All-American program, and welcome distinguished guest artists in performance. Commissioned composers have included Scott Wheeler, Arthur Levering, Larry Bell, Stephen Funk Pearson, Randall Woolf, John Clement Adams, Daniel Pinkham, and Andy Vores.
In addition to their annual Boston five concert series, Chamber Players performances have included WGBH Radio, Harvard University, Brown University, Northeastern University, Longy School, The WCRB Copley Square Concerts, and the Castle Hill and First Night Festivals. Chamber Players members have toured Canada, Hong Kong, Hawaii and been featured at the North American New Music Festival in Buffalo. The Chamber Players are available for touring, offering a wide array of repertoire and different sized ensemble works.
