Performance opportunities include two musicals (one new work or rarely performed piece and one popular piece), one non-musical (drama or comedy), a concert musical, a faculty-directed senior acting emphasis workshop production, two faculty directed studio productions, 12 senior directed plays and musicals, a senior showcase in Boston and New York City, a freshman revue, and concerts with the celebrated Boston Pops at Symphony Hall. Other performance opportunities include 25 voice/repertoire recitals, eight to ten graduate thesis projects, guest artist master classes, and several theater industry clinics to fully prepare seniors for the profession.
Our alumni are actively working on Broadway, off-Broadway and in touring productions, and in television and film. Some of our recent alumni have starred on Broadway and in national tours of The Producers, Hairspray, Into The Woods, Sweet Smell of Success, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Lestat, Avenue Q, Wicked, Lennon, Chicago, Kiss Me Kate, Swing!, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, 42nd Street, Never Gonna Dance, and The Music Man, to name a few.
