Community Engagement

The Boston Conservatory encourages students to give back to the community by participating in various outreach events through our Conservatory Connections performance program and traditional service opportunities through the Boston Cares Campus Initiative program.

Conservatory Connections



The Conservatory Connections program provides exceptional student performances for various community organizations. We are committed to sharing the talent of our students with a variety of audiences who are unable to attend traditional performances.

Our objectives are to:
  • Connect with a diverse community of audiences
  • Develop community partnerships throughout the Boston area
  • Provide performance opportunities for our students
  • Introduce students to new audiences and non-traditional performance spaces
  • Make art more accessible to the community
  • Highlight the extraordinary talent of the Conservatory to the Boston community

Boston Cares Campus Initiative

The Boston Cared Campus Initiative engages college students in volunteerism and leadership. Each month several volunteer opportunities are made available for students at a variety of community organizations.

Some examples are:
  • dog walking at the MSPCA
  • serving meals at a homeless shelter
  • cleaning up area parks
