The Boston Conservatory has numerous opportunities for students to work on campus. There are two forms of student employment, work study and conservatory employment. Students who are eligible for work study positions have received a Federal Work Study award as part of their financial aid package. All other students are eligible for Conservatory employment.

The IT Admin will work directly for the Director, on various non-technical projects through out the year. The Conservatory Connections program provides exceptional student performances for various community organizations. We seek to connect with a diverse audience population, to develop community partnerships throughout the Boston area, to provide performance opportunities for our students, to introduce students to new audiences and non-traditional performance spaces, to make art more accessible to the community and to highlight the extraordinary talent of the Conservatory to the community at large.
Responsibilities:
- Will accompany student performers to various locations in and around Boston .

General Statement of Job Functions
This position is for a responsible, visible, leader, who is interested in planning, promoting, attending, and overseeing on and off-campus substance free events once a month.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Plan events around Boston for Conservatory students that are substance free (Free of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs).
- Be available to run the event one Friday or Saturday night each month.
- Promote the events to all students on campus (undergraduate, graduate, international, dance, music, and musical theater students).
- Keep track of budget and expenses for the events.
- Be responsible for keeping events organized and substance free.
- Assist with other counseling and wellness programs as needed.
Qualifications and Skills: This position requires an interest in providing safe, healthy, and fun events for all students at the Conservatory. These events will be a chance for students to meet new people, explore the city, and focus staying healthy. It is essential that the student in this position be very responsible, detail oriented, mature, and creative. Student must be comfortable overseeing groups in an off-campus environment and acting as a leader on-campus.

Theater
Theater Division Accompanist
Department: Theater Office

General Statement of Job Functions:
Assist theater students in rehearsing music for class, and accompanying theater division auditions.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Post regular weekly “office hours” when theater students can sign up to practice music for class with an accompanist
- Occasionally play for theater division auditions for productions, as well as new student auditions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- STRONG sight-reading skills
- Good understanding of music theory so therefore able to correct problems in terms of rhythm, pitch, etc.
- Dependability extremely important—keeping regular appointments

Theater Division Assistant and Faculty Assistant (Student Employment)

General Statement of Job Functions:
Assist with many aspects of the theater division, including course materials, production related tasks, and clerical duties for faculty and the division director.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and/or post flyers and announcements from the department on designated bulletin boards.
- Filing, mailings, and special projects such as event planning or aid with guest artists.
- Use fax and photocopy machines as needed.
- Provide support to faculty and act as liaison to other departments as needed.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and FileMaker Pro to perform clerical tasks as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Great customer service skills and professional manner.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior office experience in MS Office environment (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of theater and musical theater terms.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
