Ticketing Policies

 

Refunds/Exchanges

All ticket sales are final. Exchanges may be made for a $5 processing fee at the discretion of the Audience Services Manager. There are no refunds unless an event is cancelled.

Payment

Reservations cannot be made without payment at The Boston Conservatory Box Office. All tickets must be paid for at the time of ordering. The Boston Conservatory Box Office accepts cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Checks must be made payable to The Boston Conservatory.

Fees

There is a $2.00 per ticket handling fee applied to all orders. This includes tickets purchased online, on the phone and in person. 

Promotional Offers

The Boston Conservatory reserves the right to sell tickets at a discount via promotional or special offers. Any discounts must be asked for at the time of purchase. These offers cannot be applied toward previously-purchased tickets and are subject to the same ticketing policies.

Student Rush Tickets

Student rush for Boston Conservatory students begins one hour prior to curtain. Complimentary tickets (one per person with a valid Conservatory ID) for that evening’s performance will be distributed as available. Student rush tickets are always first-come, first-served and based on availability.

Delivery

Tickets purchased via phone will be held at will call and be available to pick up one hour prior to the event on the night of the performance. Tickets purchased online can be printed at home or held at will call. Tickets will not be sent through the mail (USPS). Guests should be prepared to present a driver’s license or other valid photo ID when picking up will call tickets.

Accessible Seating and Other Assistance

All Boston Conservatory performance venues are accessible for persons with disabilities. Please advise ticket office staff prior to purchasing tickets when special seating is required (wheelchair, few stairs, etc.). We do not provide the ability to purchase accessible seating online. Please contact the Box Office at (617) 912-9222 or the Audience Services Manager at (617) 912-9142 to purchase tickets for accessible seating. Assisted listening devices are available at all mainstage performances.

Late Seating

At most events, seating begins thirty minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Latecomers to events will be seated at the discretion of the house manager or ushers at a suitable break in the performance and in a location that is least disruptive to the performance. Late seating is not available for all performances.

Event Cancellations

If a performance or concert is cancelled, the Audience Services Manager will contact all ticket holders via email and phone when possible. Ticket holders will be allowed to exchange tickets to another performance within the same season. Exchanges must be for tickets of an equal or lesser value. If exchanging to a ticket or event with a higher price, ticket holders must pay the difference. In the event of a cancellation, refunds will be granted as necessary.

Standby List

In the event of a sold out performance, a standby list will open one hour prior to the scheduled show time.

  • Patrons must sign up in person with the box office staff. Signups occur in the following areas:
    • For Mainstage Productions: 31 Hemenway Box Office
    • For Zack Box Productions: box office set up directly outside of the Zack Box
    • For Seully Hall Ticketed Events: box office set up in the first floor entryway of 8 The Fenway (directly across from security)
  • Patrons must provide a full name and the number of tickets desired.
  • There is a two ticket limit per patron.
  • The box office will begin filling standby list ticket requests 15 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time if tickets are available.
  • If you are present when your name is called, you will be moved to the bottom of the list.
  • If you pass based on the number of tickets, you will retain your place in line until tickets are available for your entire party.
