Anne Kelton joined the Conservatory faculty in 2003 and is an instructor of music teaching woodwind pedagogy.

Kelton has previously held faculty positions at Millikin University and Providence College, where she taught saxophone and flute, as well as theory, ear training, and saxophone quartet. Her students and chamber groups have won awards from the Music Teachers National Association at local, state, and national levels. In addition to college teaching, Kelton teaches general music in Marshfield, Massachusetts. She was awarded the Honor Award for Significant Service to the Teaching Profession (2008) by the Plymouth County Education Association after being nominated by her colleagues.

As a soloist, Kelton has performed at World Saxophone Congresses in Slovenia, Japan, and Italy. After hearing her perform his saxophone concerto, Robert Muczynski wrote, “The piece caught fire and held me throughout!” Kelton was the flute soloist with the United States Air Force's Band of Liberty on two tours of New England and New York. She has commissioned and premiered pieces by Michael Kregler and Wilmer Welsh.

Kelton's passion is performing music for musical theater shows. She performs regularly around the Boston and Providence areas on woodwinds from piccolo to baritone saxophone. She was the flutist for the world premiere of Paragon Park (2012 Moss Hart Award winner) and can be heard on the original cast recording of The Weaver of Raveloe.

Kelton earned her B.M.Ed. from Baldwin Wallace College. She earned her M.M. in performance (five woodwinds) from Indiana University Bloomington. She also earned a G.P.D. in multiple woodwind performance from Boston Conservatory. The teachers she was most influenced by are Eugene Rousseau and Galan Kral (saxophone), Michael Norsworthy and Howard Klug (clarinet), Kyoko Hida (oboe), and Marianne Gedigian (flute).
