Piano Performance


  • Undergraduate music performance students may apply in their junior year for admission into the dual degree program to earn a Master of Music in Music Education.
  • Graduate students may apply for the 3-year Alexander Technique Teaching Certification.

Your Teachers

All six piano faculty are highly devoted, respected and successful teachers, in addition to being active public performers with distinguished reputations and vast experience. In addition, The Boston Conservatory Piano Masters Series presents a varied and international roster of great pianists in recitals here at the Conservatory. All of the visiting pianists present master classes, affording you the opportunity to play for and learn from master teachers.

Your Performance Opportunities

The focus of the piano program is on performance. Opportunities include studio classes, master classes, the weekly Piano Performance Seminar, Music Division concerts, the Piano Honors Competition and Concert, the school-wide Concerto Competition, degree recitals, non-degree recitals, chamber music recitals and a host of accompanying and collaborative experiences. There are also two annual scholarship competitions, the Churchill Scholarship Competition and the Lee Scholarship Competition.
