Planned Giving

Bequests and planned gifts from individuals are a significant source of funding for the Boston Conservatory’s future. Such generosity can help provide financial stability and long-term sustainability for the school and its exceptional programs. We express our gratitude by inviting Churchill Society members to special events held throughout the year and including their names with this special distinction in our publications.

The Churchill Society was named for alumnus H. Wilfred Churchill ‘38 who was a devoted faculty member and is now a cherished part of the Conservatory’s celebrated history. Churchill’s life was filled with music—teaching piano, accompanying students at recitals, and performing with instrumentalists and singers. Significantly, he was also the first person to bequeath his entire estate to The Boston Conservatory. In 1994, his bequest became the principal of a fund which provides an annual piano scholarship awarded in his name. Because of his generosity, his dedication to the school, and his passionate love of music, Wilfred Churchill remains an inspiration to future generations of Boston Conservatory students and faculty. We are proud to acknowledge his legacy by naming our bequest society in his honor.
